Contest Rules and Regulations / Terms of Agreement

Entry fee: US $5 per poem.
Enter Online; this is the only means of submitting your entry. You may enter as often as you like; however, each entry requires a separate entry fee.
Multiple entries in one application will be automatically disqualified.
For the purposes of this contest, a poetry entry (i.e., your poem) consists of three (3) lines, with a maximum of 25 words.
Your entry must be original, in English, unpublished, not submitted elsewhere for publication or broadcast, or accepted elsewhere for publication or broadcast, or entered simultaneously in any other contest or competition for which it is also eligible to win a prize or be displayed in any manner or form.
Your entry must have a positive, uplifting and inspiring message and tone that relate to dance or the community or the assisting of people who have suffered or encountered domestic violence and abuse. Thus, the message must be in line with the causes exposed by the Shimmy Mob community.
The winning entry will be displayed on the back of all the official 2016 ShimmyMob t-shirts worn by participants registered for the worldwide event taking place Saturday May 14, 2016 taking place and viewed around the globe. The contest winner may elect to display his or her name, or business name, or website, or the classic “anon.”
The winning prize as just detailed in the preceding paragraph has no monetary value. The sole prize is the display of the poem on the official Shimmy Mob t-shirt.
By participating, contestants release Shimmy Mob and its affiliates, subsidiaries and agencies and its directors, officers, employeesand agents from any and all liability for any injury, death, loss, tax liability or damage of any kind arising from contestant’s participation in this Contest. Except where prohibited by law, acceptance of the prize constitutes and signifies the winner’s consent that ShimmyMob and/or its agents may use the winner’s entry, name, address (city and state only), prize information, and/or likeness for promotional purposes in any media now existing or hereinafter devised, without additional compensation. Subject to all federal, provincial and local laws and regulations. Shimmy Mob is not responsible for: (1) late, delayed, incomplete, delayed, destroyed, garbled, or incomplete entries, (2) incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information; (3) any human error, technical malfunctions, or lost/delayed data transmission; (4) any omission, interruption, deletion, defect, or line failures of anytelephone network, computer equipment, or software; or (5) inability to access any website or online service, or any other error or malfunction. Shimmy Mob reserves the right to: (i) disqualify from this or any Contest, now or in the future, any person it finds, in its sole discretion, has intentionally violated these Official Rules, tampered with the entry process, the operation of the Contest or Website, or any other aspect of this Contest; and (ii) cancel or suspend the Contest in its entirety should tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or other causes beyond Sponsor’s control corrupt the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper play of the Contest.
Deadline for all contest entries: March 31, 2016.
The winning entry will be announced April 16, 2016 on the Shimmy Mob website and through social media channels.
